October 10, 2024

What's up everyone I'm sorry that I missed writing last week. I never feel like I have much to write about that's like super awesome big and cool but I thought I should write about what's kinda been up with this past week.

Tuesday: We were waiting like all day for transfer news and sadly yes me and Elder Dickson have separated. I am staying in the area but received some crazy info. I'm going to stay DL and also be a first time Trainer. On my 5th transfer...

Wednesday: We had district council for the last time in that transfer and it was pretty cool ig. We went around saying goodbye to like every cool family/member that there was. We definitely ate 5 meals back to back and when I went home and weighed myself I was 198lbs...

Thursday: I said goodbye to my "brother" (we were trained by the same Élder aka Élder Carty aka DAD) it was tough saying goodbye cause I probably won't see him for a long time. I met my trainee and it's Élder Castillo from El Salvador!!! Apparently his father and aunt live here in LA and back in June he had come to visit and saw me give a talk in Sacrament Meeting in my Last zone. 🤪  WHAT ARE THE ODDS!? I also got to see Brevin which was pretty cool.

Friday: Friday was a decently good day not to much happened except we visited our friends and I taught Elder Castillo the area a little bit. Had a decent lesson with Nelson and told him the prophet

talked about the second coming and he about lost his mind. He was flabbergasted.

Saturday:  We had a very direct lesson with Felipe and Eugenia because they have been buckets (Lazy) recently and pretty much we told them if they want to get baptized we need to have at least 2 lessons a week with them. We set 3 days every week we can pass by. We also told them they need to go to church because taking the sacrament is a big part of renewing our covenants and sadly I don't think Eugenia will be able to be baptized because she cannot get off.

Sunday: Sacrament was lit Belkis and Nelson went no one else 👎 Very good news though we have found Javier's records (Belkis boyfriend) so Javier and Belkis are finally getting married and Belkis will be getting baptized! Woot Woot!!

Monday/Hoy: We Hiked Escondido falls again and then ate cane's and it was the first time Elder Castillo had tried it and he liked it a lot.

So far this transfer has been a little tough. I have to lead a lot of the lessons with my 3/10 Spanish but also training and being a DL has been taking a toll on me. Something that HAS helped me get through is having my studies every day. Something I would like to emphasize is that if you feel stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, stressed or distressed read the scriptures. I've come to realize the Book of Mormon and The Bible have power. Literal power. Power of comfort peace and love. Reading them and studying puts me at ease and helps me continue forward.

Love everyone. Miss everyone. Write me if you'd like. Here's some Fotos and a link to more Fotos.
