3rd Week CCM - Zach Efron
This week of adventures at the MTC was probably the most random and most exciting.
Monday: This day was one of the weirdest off days for everyone. Spanish wasn't going well, everyone in my house was kinda frustrated with what was happening and going on. Although this day was an off day, it also was one of the most spiritual days I have felt in my life. I led the house devotional and kinda told everyone to say one thing that was good today. After everyone went around I felt prompted to just say that we can't grow as people without hard ships. As soon as I started talking everything went out the window. I don't know why but I told everyone my high school basketball motto, I said, "Today stunk, today was pretty bad, everyone is frustrated but what we would say on my basketball team is what now. What are we going to do right now in this very moment. Sure today stunk but todays over. What are we gonna do right now to grow and learn from this experience to better ourselves." I never felt the spirit more strongly in my life and after words the whole house thanked me for saying that so that was pretty cool.
Tuesday: This day was much better then Monday. Day was pretty normal. I helped about 40 different missionaries who were all new and had came that night. I helped all of them get to there houses around 930 at night. I also did 400 pushups this day.
Wednesday: Today we did teaching others again. That's where you give a short 10 minutes lesson in all Spanish to members or non members of the church, but this time it was in person. It went pretty well and my Spanish is getting better but definitely still has a lot of work to do. After we got back into class my teacher had told us that a lot of the "investigators"/members thought i was Zach Efron. Which I'll take the compliment but I don't see it. Haha.
Thursday: Today it hailed in Mexico and a river ran through the MTC. I got soaked it was like I went swimming and then had to sit through learning Spanish in wet socks. Wasn't very fun. I was glad it did rain though because it was getting so hot.
I did about 1500 pushups this week which is good cause I don't have time to go and actually lift now but here is some awesome pictures from this week and more will be posted on facebook.
