This week definitely went by fast and was an interesting week for sure. Although not many interesting things may have happened this week was pretty fun.
Saturday: Our teacher wasn't here for Spanish class so we went and had class with them. When we were with that class we went out and had conversations with a latino district. It was challenging but I understood almost everything that he was saying. I then asked for his facebook so it was pretty awesome.
Sunday: Sunday we had church and I volunteered to fill in and I blessed the sacrament in Español. I was worried at first but once I started it was pretty easy. I also started reading a book this day which my friend gave to me before I left and so far it's really good. We also for devotional this day got to watch a recording from Elder Redlund and how the Holy Ghost is your eternal companion.
Monday: I played pickle ball for the first time with Elder Lamb. We played against Hermana Brown and Hermana Kofed. All of them have played before so they were pretty good but for my first time it was pretty fun going undefeated. This day was really fun because I met a guy named Elder Pirate. Then after all that my day was mello and finished off weird.
Tuesday: This day I was killing it and was learning a lot. I also got to see Mathew Randall from my old soco team. It was awesome to see someone finally I know from Colorado. We played pickle ball again today except I lost one game but pulled through and won the tie breaker. It was me and hermana Brown against two really good players Hermana Kofed and Elder Lamb. Luck definitely was on our side. This day also was kinda rough towards the end but its ok. My friends book has been also helping me think a lot differently which is helping my homesickness.
Wednesday: This day we had a jaw dropping object lesson with my spanish teacher that I will definitely be using on my mission. We also did the lesson for our house devotional and everyone had the same reaction as we did. I also met more people and made friends with more people.
Thursday: This day was muy intersante, I talked to a girl here and she was from Colorado. Which is like the only person I have met here from Colorado. She went to Chapparel high school and her last name was Stolton I think. I also played pickle ball with the top ranked pickle ball player in Utah and I never thought I could sweat and be breathing heavy from pickle ball until I played with him. We went undefeated together and was probably playin some of the best competition at the CCM. Also my saying for the week when I miss people and stuff is, "Embrace the challenges, without them we wouldn't grow and develop and people. You will always have problems in your life, and it all depends on how you deal with the problems if you want to grow or not." There is a lot of great quotes I don't have written down from that book
To end off another thing I haven't been really thinking of which I should be is to Confía en nuestro Padre Celestial.
